Giving

It's amazing to see God's creativity, love, and generosity on full display each and every day.
Our church family generously give their time, service, talents, and treasures through so many acts of worship,
and we invite you to join us in our movement of every day generosity!

Giving your tithes and offerings is between you and God.

How you choose to do that is up to you. We take an offering during our service every week. You can give in person on Sunday, give through our online giving option, or set up automatic payments through your bank. Please read about giving and tithing below if you have any questions.

Giving FAQs

Most frequent questions and answers

As a church, we believe that we are called to respond to the generosity of the gospel by giving extravagantly to the progress of the gospel in our community and world. Biblical generosity is not about meeting budget needs. It is about a rich and trusting relationship with a living God. We express our faith and love to Him by honoring Him as the source of everything we have. Scriptural giving is performed with regularity, from the first portion of all we are given, as a proportion of our income, cheerfully, and without pressure or manipulation.

Tithing is our starting place in giving. The Bible teaches us about a baseline standard for giving: the tithe (a word that literally means a “tenth”). When we give the first 10% of our income through the local church, we put God first in our lives. Tithing is an act of worship that expresses our gratitude, faith, and love for others. God also encourages us to give offerings beyond our tithe to specific projects at our local church and to other organizations and causes that we personally believe in.

Mission Unit Trust (MUT) is a financial program CCBC initiated more than 20 years ago to divide givings to 8 different funds. One MUT = $6. So, in order to give to the Mission Unit Trust, you must do so in increments of $6. The $6 is divided into the 8 different categories as follows:

  • $.50 – America for Christ (AFC)
  • $.1.00 – Building Improvement
  • $1.00 – Children’s Ministry
  • $1.00 – Youth Ministry
  • $.50 – Campus Crusade for Christ (CRU)
  • $.50 – One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS)
  • $.50 – Retired Ministers and Missionary Offering (RMMO)
  • $1.00 – World Mission Offering (WMO)

Again, to divide donations using this structure, donations must be in increments of $6.

 1 MUT = $6, 2 MUTs = $12, 3 MUTs = $18, 4 MUTs = $24, 5 MUTs = $30, 6 MUTs = $36  and so on…

CCBC has often been one of the leaders in the state in giving to the World Mission Offering, Retired Ministers and Missionaries Offering, and America for Christ. We believe it is because of the MUT structure that we have created. Thank you for giving generously to these important funds.

The Building Improvement Fund is part of the Mission Unit Trust (MUT) and its purpose is for improving our current church building.

Together We Build is for CCBC’s future building.

Make A Pledge

This year our Harvest Offering will go toward projects such as; Resealing the Church parking lot, a new projector screen and new commercial grade ovens. Our goal this year is set at $20,000. Please prayerfully consider how much you can give to be a part of taking care of our church. Donations to the Harvest offering can be made weekly to break it up into more manageable amounts throughout the year. Perhaps think about giving up a coffee or fast food trip a week and donating that to God. We are all in this together!
