Sunday November 10th, Cheektowaga Baptist Church voted in their new Pastor Rev. Dr. Ian Turner.
It is with great excitement and joyful thanksgiving to our Lord Jesus Christ, that we present to you the new pastor of Cheektowaga Community Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. lan Turner.
Pastor lan is originally from the Chicago, Illinois area and is most recently serving as a teacher in a Christian school in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. He has been involved in campus ministry, tutoring/teaching English language, Sunday School teaching, delivering sermons, working as an administrator and teacher at a Christian school, college-student and youth-group organization and supervision, setting vision and leading prayer meetings, and family counseling. From 2021 to 2024, lan was involved in pastoral ministry at Grace Baptist Church in Carlisle, PA.
Pastor lan was ordained in May 2023. He is highly educated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Elmhurst University, a Master of Arts in Linguistics from Northeastern Illinois University, and a Master of Divinity degree from Reformed Baptist Seminary. Additionally, he has a Ph.D. in Biblical Studies (Hebrew Bible/Old Testament) from the Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
lan has been married to his wife Mercy for over 15 years. She is originally from the Philippines and works as a Registered Nurse. They have been blessed with two children: their son Christian is 11 and their daughter Joanna is 8 years old.
We have prayerfully sought to discern God’s perfect will for CCBC and we are convinced that God has led us to lan; and He has led lan to us! We are excited and overjoyed to present to you Rev. Dr. lan Benjamin Turner as the new Pastor of Cheektowaga Community Baptist Church!
